RIM has recently announced the facebook application for its Playbook tablet that was launched sometime back. RIM disappointed its customers during the launch of its blackberry Playbook which lacked applications such as mail, calender, video chat, etc. But it is trying to balance that disappointment with their effort to bring in Facebook application and hopefully more in due course.
The new Facebook app designed by RIM for its tablet will be fine-tuned for the tablet's 7-inch display and HDMI output. Almost all major attractions of Facebook will be featured in this new application. This application will allow user to vew/add a friend, view profiles, visit walls, post comments, tag picutres with freinds. The most captivating aspect, it seems will be its capability to view video in full HD on a connected HDTV. This application will also support multitasking like chatting with friends while browsing profiles, viewing picutres and/or interacting with news feed.
The plan by Blackberry is to introduce this application to world this week at Blackberry Application world, and might be available for download on Balckberry Application world later this month.
